The al-Aqsa Mosque, the first Muslim “qiblah”, was once again attacked by Zionist settlers. At the same time, an Israeli newspaper reported that Trump’s Deal of the Century does not include the creation of a Palestinian state.
On Thursday, February 28, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque under the high protection of the Israeli military.
According to the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot, the American President’s Deal of the Century does not provide for the creation of an independent Palestinian state with Quds as its capital, but it has proposed autonomy for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who will be able to maintain political and economic relations with the West Bank.
In addition, the Palestinians will enter into negotiations with Israel on Zone C in the West Bank, which is currently controlled by the Israeli army. Similarly, Jewish settlements will remain under Israeli control, but will no longer be developed.
This plan also provides for the strengthening of cooperation between Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians in the management of al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli military checkpoints will be abolished and Palestinians will be able to move freely across the West Bank. But Zones B and C will remain under Israel’s full control.
This report was released three days after the interview with Jared Kushner, the Trump type, given to Sky News Arabia in Abu Dhabi. In this interview, Kushner did not talk about the creation of a Palestinian state.
Zone C is an administrative division of the West Bank, defined by the Oslo II Agreement.
