Sources close to the Israeli army have revealed that the soldiers on site at the time of today’s operation in the West Bank fled to avoid being targeted by a Palestinian.
The Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot reported that some soldiers fled the scene of today’s Palestinian operation in the West Bank.
Voice of Israel Radio described the Israeli military’s flight from a Palestinian as a “scandal”: “A Palestinian infiltrated a place where a large number of Israeli soldiers were deployed and carried out three operations and then left the place safely. How is that possible? »
In response to these reports, the Israeli army promised to open an investigation into the matter.
Two anti-Israeli attacks took place this Sunday, one with a knife and the other with a firearm near the town of Ariel in Salfist in the northern West Bank.
According to the Israeli army spokesman, the perpetrator first attacked an Israeli soldier with a knife. He then confiscated his weapon and fired at another soldier in a vehicle. He got into the vehicle and continued to shoot while driving, injuring several other Israeli army soldiers. Israeli sources do not say so, but the “attacker” may not have received training or education to carry out such an attack.
The clashes continued to the point of pushing the Israeli military to mobilize elite commandos and army special forces.
Following this operation, Hamas distributed cakes in the streets of Gaza.
