Jurf al-Nasr: terrorists wiped out by Iraqi security forces

Iraqi sources reported on Tuesday, February 5, the operation of army forces and Hashd al-Shaabi against terrorists in Daech in the Jurf al-Nasr region west of Baghdad.

Iraqi army soldiers, accompanied by the Popular Mobilization Units (Hachd al-Chaabi), today launched an operation to clear the Jurf al-Nasr area of Daech sleeper cells.

Iraqi forces continue to conduct search operations and prosecute terrorists in order to destroy Daech’s residues in the country and on the Iraq-Syrian border, and to prevent elements of the takfirist movement from entering the country.

Daech terrorists targeted a bus carrying Iranian pilgrims on Sunday evening, February 3, injuring 9 people south of the city of Balad in Salaheddine province.

An Iraqi source told Sumeria News that a roadside bomb exploded on the way of the bus carrying pilgrims in the Qanat 14 district of Balad city.
