Syria to the UN: Bashar al-Jaafari threatened a reciprocal strike on an Israeli airport

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations warned that David Ben-Gurion airport in central Tel Aviv could be attacked if Israeli attacks against Syria continued.
The warning issued by Bashar al-Jaafari, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, scared retired general Jacob Amidour, who acknowledged Syria’s ability to do so.
“The Syrians are capable of targeting Ben-Gurion Airport. They have missiles that can reach Tel Aviv airport. Similarly, their anti-aircraft systems are capable of intercepting fighter aircraft taking off from the airport,” Amidour warned.
“Even though the Syrians are capable of it, they still fear Israel’s reaction. If they do, we will use all our capacity and put an end to the Syrian government. I don’t think the Syrians are taking that risk,” he continued.
It should be noted that Bashar al-Jaafari had stated that Damascus could use its right of defence and attack Tel Aviv airport in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s attack on Damascus airport.
