Without the support of Iran’s Guardian Corps, ISIS would already have controlled four or five countries in the world, the Iraqi Resistance groups have announced.
Representatives of various groups of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq condemned Donald Trump’s government’s decision to include Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the so-called list of foreign “terrorist organisations”, under false accusations against those forces that fought ISIS’s terrorists .
The note issued on Saturday at the Iranian consulate in the city of Najaf, praises the role of the CGRI in supporting Baghdad in the fight against terrorism, specifically in freeing Iraqi cities from the clutches of this scourge.
For his part, Abu Farqad al-Sadavi, a member of the Badr Organization, described the decision in question of the United States Government as “ridiculous”, since it has been “the first sponsor of terrorism in the world”. “It is the United States that created ISIS , the Al-Nusra Front (now called the Fath Al-Sham Front) and other terrorist groups.
In developing his position, Al-Sadavi referred to statements by Trump during his election campaign in 2016, in which he indicated that ISIS had been created by former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with then-President Barack Obama.
In response to Trump’s announcement, the CGRI warned the White House tenant that his decision will only encourage the determination of the Iranian armed forces to increase their capabilities.
The commander of Iran’s Army Land Force, Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari, warned that Washington has jeopardized the security of its own forces with such a measure.
With the same ploys used against the CGRI, Washington is now trying to persuade Baghdad to disarm the Badr Organization, Kataib Hezbollah of Iraq, the Abulfaz Al-Abash Brigades, Asaib Ahl Al-Haq and Harakat Hezbollah Al-Nuyaba, as revealed in January by the Saudi network Al Arabiya.
Meanwhile, the militias of the Iraqi Resistance played a determining role in the defeat of ISIS. In fact, the Baghdad government has praised the contribution of the combatants of these groups in the fight against terrorism.
